what is the best way to get to fort mayers florida, from chicago?

i gotta get to florida by the end of this week, what do you think the best way to get there is, however i dont wana spend a lot of cash on it, would u think it wouldbe better with a car or flight, or train?

   go by plane….my husband just flew out of kcmo to jax florida and it was round trip and only paid $134 however, he had lay overs each way of an hour going and 1/2 hour coming back….you got to go to hotwire.com and check on the airports that are close to there also…like for ft myers, tampa isnt too far….are you planning on getting a rental car?
   unless you have family that works for the train system, its gonna be expensive…. with gas prices, its cheaper to fly and alot quicker too….
